2x4
Objective: design a self-sustained system
Parameters: make no less than six cuts.
use all the material provided; no more, no less.
use no fasteners and no adhesives
At first I loathed this project; however, once I got into the workshop I really got into it. I was inspired by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. My approach was very minimalist. I made a groove through the center of the entire 2x4. Then I took a piece of the side and made the square and rectangular shapes that fit into the groove. We had to use every last piece of the 2x4 and other than the pieces that ended up as sawdust I used every single piece. I can't wait to use the wood shop again!

Here are a few of my first ideations and my final idea.
